Fixed-term contract (12 months), with possibility to renew

ECCO is a Brussels-based independent consultancy specialised in EU food policy and the management of trade associations in the food and food-related sectors.

 

We are looking for a dynamic Food Science & Regulatory Associate to join our team of ca. 20 people for a 12-month contract, renewable.

You will be responsible for supporting our senior food experts in the management of technical and regulatory issues, including monitoring and reporting on food regulatory developments, preparing client presentations and participating at stakeholder meetings. You will grow in a multicultural and cross-disciplinary environment, where team members are passionate and motivated by the desire to deliver high-quality work.

This is a stimulating opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed young professional who has already completed a first professional experience and is now looking for a challenge and to gain valuable experience in food policy and the regulatory environment.

 

Profile

• Good academic qualifications in food science (technology, nutrition, safety…) and/or EU food law.
• a keen interest in the food ingredient sector and ready to take on a challenge
• excellent analytical, organisational and written & verbal communication skills and a quick mindset
• fluent in English and have a good command of at least one other European language. French would be an asset.
• A team player, enjoy being part of a dynamic multicultural team and working in an international environment

This position is Brussels-based and the candidate must have the right to work full-time in Belgium.
