Remote/Telework: Four days per pay period (two days per week). The position is not remote eligible.
Appointment Type: This is an excepted service, time-limited appointment that is not to exceed three years, seven months with the potential for two two-year extensions.
Salary: $102,229 – $150,127 per year (does not reflect 2024 salary percentage increase)

Description of Organization: IPI integrates technical expertise with values-driven, cross-cutting priorities and modern approaches to the way USAID performs its work. It provides client-centered technical services to USAID’s Missions worldwide, supports programming to innovate, learn, and address emerging issues, and provides technical leadership within the Agency and externally to enhance development impact.

IPI/PSE supports the Agency in advancing the use of market-based approaches and PSE to deliver development and humanitarian results across all sectors. Through PSE Modernize, a strategy built on a comprehensive suite of initiatives that seek to deepen collaboration with the private sector, IPI/PSE creates the internal and external conditions for impactful, evidence-informed engagement with the private sector at scale. IPI/PSE is structured around four strategic goals (make PSE easier for staff, improve the partner experience, improve the use of evidence, and expand USAID’s toolkit for PSE) and workstreams for Program, Operations, and Communications to support IPI/PSE’s mission.

Duties and Responsibilities: USAID’s PSE policy highlights the critical importance of evidence-based approaches for our work with businesses and industries. This position will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and interpreting the Agency-wide data in the enterprise customer relationship management (eCRM) system, and turning that data into actionable insights that Agency staff and Missions can apply to enhance and grow USAID’s engagement with the private sector worldwide.

As the Private Enterprise Officer, you will:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of partnership data within the eCRM system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and security;
  • Support, and where appropriate lead, the extraction, consolidation, and analysis of USAID’s annual Public-Private Partnership (PPP) reporting data from the eCRM system, and the production of related analytical insights for Agency, interagency, Congressional, and public stakeholders;
  • Work on the refinement of the eCRM system along with a team of direct hire and contractor staff to refine eCRM data architectures, devise and refine data management processes, and implement data migration plans;
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to monitor, interpret, and streamline reporting on USAID engagements with the private sector;
  • Manage overall data governance of the eCRM system, serving as frontline data quality lead, monitoring for the completeness and compliance of eCRM data and documentation; and
  • Define data governance structures for the eCRM system. Oversees data expiry practices, and establishes and implements processes for data archiving, retention, and disposal in accordance with relevant USAID and U.S. Government policies, procedures, and best practices.
