Forestry and Prescribed Fire Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled forestry and prescribed fire technician to join our team.  The successful candidate will have experience or background in forest management, prescribed or wildland fire, and habitat restoration by assisting in the planning, preperation, and execution of prescribed burns, as well as supporting forestry operations.  This role involves fieldwork in a variety of weather conditions and requires a passion for conservation, safety, and the enviroment. 

• Assist in planning and conducting prescribed burns.
• Manage crew conducting forest management and habitat improvement projects.
• Prepare and maintain equipment.
• Conduct forest surveys, assess vegatation, and assist with tree marking, thinning, and other forest management tasks.
• Monitor and maintain firebreaks and fuel load redurction projects.
