Freight Coordinator – Witham, Essex – Up to £35,000Role OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator to join a fast-paced and dynamic logistics environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on export operations. You will play a key role in managing the full cycle of import/export shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations and maintaining a high standard of customer service.Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00am to 17:00pmSalary: £32,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end export process, including compliance with country-specific requirements
• Serve as the primary contact for customer communications
• Handle supplier and customer queries efficiently
• Ensure timely and accurate billing
• Oversee all aspects of export shipments
• Resolve customer issues and provide excellent service
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation flow
• Operate independently within the export workflow
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of supplier terms, delivery conditions, Incoterms, and purchasing terms
• Utilize internal computer systems and manage invoicing effectively
• Understand and apply Customs regulations and export documentation procedures
• Communicate clearly and professionally
• Manage time and workload independently

Requirements:

• Experience with a UK based freight forwarder (Min. 5 years experience)
• UK based with right to work in the UK (No sponsorship on offer)
• Strong understanding of UK freight procedures
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office (and/or other logistics platforms)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments
