Need4Deed: Back End – Full Stack Developer (m/f/d)

A unique chance for a socially minded and self driven developer who can support us in forming and implementing our online platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our non-profit group, changing the way volunteers and NGO’s deliver much needed support for refugees. The almost 3 years long project is the first of its kind, focused on supporting refugees living in community shelters.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document our offline user journey’s and collaborate with our team to bring our digital pathway to life
- Develop of end to end and implementation of our online platform
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, while adhering to coding standards and best practices
- Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, security, and performance
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in full stack development.
- GDPR compliant cloud solution
- Collaborate as a developer and cooperate with stakeholders and contractors to understand the project´s requirements and objectives
Your Profile:
- Strong knowledge of backend system architecture and a demonstrated success in developing and implementing at least one similar project
- Knowledge of frontend website development including an understanding for UX
- Knowledge of GDPR best practices
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)..
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience with online identification tools a big plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Experience in digital project and stakeholder management
- Ability to clearly communicate technical collaboration in a team and good communication skillsBachelor
- Availability in Berlin
- Bachelor degree or equivalent

- Otherwise, ca. 32 weekly working hours: The teamwork in general is a hybrid one, with at least 50% of the working hours on site (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and the rest online.

- Our accommodating association Club Dialog e.V. is an established migrant organisation, operating within the former soviet union migrant communities of Berlin for 35 years. It includes various projects (such as ours) that address migrants and refugees from all areas of the world that live in Berlin
