ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our Team and Make a Difference in Europe

  • Position: Full Stack Developer / Senior Technical Campaigner
  • Location: Remote, Anywhere in EU
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
  • Application deadline: 31st of January 2024

We are looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer / Senior Technical Campaigner who  will be part of the core tech team, a group of people making an extra effort to supercharge our campaigning with technology and responsible for properly supporting our online campaigning activities.

The role is made of three crucial components: 1) communicating with other team members and supporting them with technical knowledge and expertise, 2) working on a full cycle of implementation of custom tools (incl. specification & design, coding, integration, testing, maintenance and improvements), 3) understanding and monitoring our services and intervening when needed.

Roughly 70% of your time will be spent on longer term projects – building new tactics for campaigns, developing infrastructure tools, integrations and other improvements to our stack. There will also be space for learning here.

Around 30% of your time, depending on specific moment in time, will be spent on support and maintenance, handling help requests and interventions. Those might vary from simple technical questions up to designing and supporting an ad-hoc online campaigning tactic together with a group of campaigners.

It’s also up to you to shape our infrastructure – our culture is based on the “doer’s attitude” and hacker culture. If you can get your hands dirty with diagnosing and solving the problem and you can convince others that your solution is the right one without going into flame war, you’re one of us.

ABOUT US

WeMove Europe is an international  campaigning organisation that seeks to build people power to transform Europe on issues that matter _ including climate emergencies, migrant rights, workers rights, better governance and more

At the centre of what we do are two key beliefs: that people hold the power to drive change, and that the Europe we live in today needs real, deep-rooted transformation so that its politics reflect the needs of people and planet rather than corporations and profit.

When we all take action together we create something bigger than ourselves and build momentum for real political change. That is when politicians start listening to us, when big business feels the pressure, when hope becomes a reality.
And when we become unstoppable!
