Full-Time Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position in Lake Management

The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs (O’Neill) at Indiana University, Bloomington campus, invites applications for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track (NTT) academic year appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the area of lake management. The successful applicant will be expected to procure service grants and contracts in support of lake monitoring programs and other aquatic monitoring efforts at the state and local levels and to train students and engage in outreach activities as part of these efforts. Minimum qualifications for this position are an M.S. in environmental science or related field, at least 5 years of experience directing lake monitoring programs and teaching environmental science at the college level, and commitment to high quality student training and mentoring.

Clinical faculty are expected to focus on professional service activities as well as teaching, including course development and delivery and the incorporation of innovative teaching techniques. The standard teaching load for Clinical faculty is six courses per year and may include undergraduate and graduate student instruction. NTT clinical faculty are not eligible for tenure but will be considered for promotion and long-term contracts no later than

the sixth year of appointment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The expected start date is August 1, 2025.
