of the new Benefice Datchet, Eton, Eton Wick with Boveney and Dorney

The Benefice is located along the north bank of the River Thames, between Windsor and Slough. It is conveniently located close to the M4, M25, and M40, with rail links to London, and a short distance from Heathrow. The Benefice churches are linked by traffic-free roads, open countryside, and a section of the beautiful Thames Path Walk.

The Benefice is in the initial stages of formation hence the working title of Priest in Charge.

We are prayerfully looking for someone who

  • Is Christ-centred, able to demonstrate insight and wisdom in discernment of God’s word and is prayerful for the good of self and others.

  • Has a broad experience of life, empathy, compassion, with good people skills.
    Proven to work collaboratively demonstrating a commitment to and delivery of church growth, growing disciples of all ages, and engaging with all communities, including those of other faiths.

  • Is able to foster a positive climate of encouragement facilitating others to identify, grow and develop their ministry and gifts,

  • Is eager to work with, encouraging lay involvement, to build on relationships with the schools, both primary and secondary, which are a key aspect of the communities.

  • Is keen to develop a Vision for the Benefice enabling each parish to identify their own unique role and contribution to the whole.

  • Has a strong understanding of, and commitment to, Safeguarding
