The fundraising operation in the Private Fundraising and Partnership (PFP) division of UNICEF Peru CO has focused on pledge donors as part of the Individual Giving (IG) program. The strategy has increased during the last years with an average of +7,000 donors per year, and UNICEF Peru CO is expecting to maintain these increasing rates in coming years. 

How can you make a difference? 

Under the close supervision and guidance of the Individuals Officer, the GS5 Fund Raising Assistant will support the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the donor retention and cultivation strategy in accordance with the objectives of the PSFR. S/he also ensures timely and efficient processing in generating data, reports, and real-time monitoring dashboards for decision-making related to delivering goals.

1. Responsible for optimizing the database of individual donors (partners), by carrying out periodic monitoring and evaluation reports, to guarantee maximum impact and improvement of efforts in fundraising from partners, sharing results and reports in a timely manner
• Monitors, plans and provides feedback to management on the performance of retention and loyalty campaigns.
• Performs various types of information analysis to improve and ensure the goals of each campaign, payment compliance and attrition rates.
• Monitors and prepares reports on agreed performance indicators to the supervisor, to promote more efficient management and accountability for results.
• Researches, synthesizes and compiles qualitative and quantitative data and information to facilitate the preparation of reports, objectives, activities, etc.

2. Helps in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the retention and loyalty strategy and in the campaign calendar, objectives, metrics, databases and KPIs.
• Is in charge of optimizing the retention strategy, through the analysis and maintenance of the member database.
• Prepares the necessary databases for any retention and value maximization strategy
• Assists in the definition of objectives, strategies, content, designs, components and timing of the different retention and loyalty campaigns.
• Collaborates effectively with Telemarketing, Digital or any other retention and loyalty campaign defined in the PSFR Annual Plan, in each variety of operation, internal, with subcontractors or within the framework of any alliance.
• Supervises retention and loyalty work, from retention and maximization of donor value, focusing on meeting goals and assists the retention team with all the tools they need to maximize their objectives (segmented and clean database, partner information, KPI analysis, etc.).
• Provides technical support in establishing campaign KPI criteria (reporting, systems, performance evaluation, goals).
• Provides technical support for negotiation and agreements, seeking the best possible conditions for UNICEF, with different suppliers and partners.

3. Supports the implementation of the Donor Journey to ensure donor retention and maximization of donor value.
• Process all data related to donors, for the correct implementation of the Donor Journey (DJ).
• Compiles data from different sources and prepared reports to ensure that DJ communication is delivered at the necessary payment ages, based on surveys, retention rates, campaign results, etc.
• Preparation of KPIs, reports and analysis on donor retention, in relation to both TMK and DJ digital communication touchpoints.

The individual fundraising operation requires an operational capacity to implement the retention strategy, which involves working with telemarketing teams, verifying their performance, monitoring quality, generating campaign reports, and more. Future individual fundraising work plans should focus on increasing the payment rate of the House List and improving the response rate in various retention and value maximization campaigns. This position aims to:
• Continuously and systematically control and oversee each campaign.
• Continuously and systematically analyze data and segment it to prepare strategies for improving donor retention and value maximization across all DJ levels (telemarketing, digital, etc.).
• Ensure accurate data collection and results for decision-making.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.

The following requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary education is required*, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work in computer sciences or database administration.

*A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace an additional two years.

Work Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant database management work experience is required. Fundraising experience is an asset.

Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Knowledge of local language of the duty station (such as Quechua, Aimara, Ashaninka or Shipibo-Konibo) is highly desirable. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset.
