Context
The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office, is looking for a qualified individual to provide support to the Business and High Value (BHV) team, to drive the PSP fundraising strategy where there is significant growth of target each year. This UNV assignment is to develop income opportunities, focusing primarily on corporate and high net worth individual (HNWI) partners (BHV partners) by implementing effective partnership models and deploying innovative resource mobilization strategy. The role requires the incumbent to effectively manage business development and account relationships with BHV partnerships. Task Description
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Fund Raising Specialist, Business and High Value team or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Fund Raising Officer will: • Identify, research, map and manage screenings of potential partners of the Business and High Value Partnership teams (Business and High Value partners), including companies, their foundations, and high net worth individual (HNWIs) to build a prospective list in accordance with UNICEF’s strategies, processes and criteria. Maintain and continuously update the database for targeted, current and prospective corporate partners. • Work closely with team members and cross-functionally with internal parties to identify funding opportunities and secure strategic partnerships that contributes income and support programmatic outcomes. Engage with relevant teams to acquire technical inputs to develop and present funding proposals, reporting or other necessary information for the Business and High Value (BHV) partners. • Develop proposals for potential BHV partners and secure funds and other types of contributions from individuals, companies, their customers/employees and their foundations that will maximize long-term income in support of UNICEF’s programmatic objectives. • Meet with prospective partners to present partnership opportunities, fostering strong relationships and proposing collaborations. • Build and foster strong relationships with new corporate and HWNI prospects and ensure existing BHV partners are stewarded appropriately, resulting in profitable long- term partnerships. • Support the team or become a member of working team to plan, organize and execute fundraising events/campaigns/activities that will generate income and encourage engagement in support of UNICEF’s programmatic objectives. • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor. Furthermore, UN Volunteers are encouraged to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through engagement with communities in the course of their work. As such, UN Volunteers should dedicate a part of their working time to some of the following suggested activities: • Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day); • Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country; • Provide annual and end of assignment self-reports on UN Volunteer actions, results and opportunities. • Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.; • Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers; • Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible. Results/expected outputs: • As an active UNICEF Thailand Country Office team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to UNICEF and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including: • Successful identification and screening of potential partners. • Comprehensive and up-to-date data updated to the organization’s platform. • High-quality proposals for potential BHV partners. • Visit, meetings, and follow-up actions with partners. • Relationship building and engagement with potential and existing partners. • Well-planned, organized, and executed fundraising events/campaigns/activities. • Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective is systematically applied, integrated and documented in all activities throughout the assignment • A final statement of achievements towards volunteerism for peace and development during the assignment, such as reporting on the number of volunteers mobilized, activities participated in and capacities developed

Living conditions and remarks
As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. Benefits and Entitlements: The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Contingent on specific eligibility criteria, location of the volunteer assignment and contractual type and category, the payment of allowances will begin from the date of Commencement of Service. Monthly living Allowance (per month) is around THB 77737.8 Entry Lump Sum (one-time payment) USD 400 Exit Allowance (for each month served paid on completion of assignment) THB 4627.25 Medical and Life Insurance Coverage Leave entitlements: Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month Certified sick leave: 30 days Uncertified Sick Leave: 7 days Learning leave: 10 working days per consecutive 12 months Maternity Leave: 16 weeks Paternity Leave: 10 day
