UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
And we never give up.
The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) works with UNICEF National Committees and country offices to maximize engagement and drive income growth. There are several teams within the PSFP section including the Global Campaigns team. The purpose of the Global Campaigns team (GCT) is to maximize private sector revenue and influence opportunities from high-value audiences at the highest level. We do this by creating an enabling environment for the PFP income streams, UNICEF National Committees and UNICEF country and regional offices to secure $10M+partnerships for priority programmatic areas including climate, data and research, and health systems. As part of the GCT remit, the team will identify and remove internal roadblocks, develop compelling audience propositions, and develop new and meaningful ways to engage with high-value audiences. This position is in the headquarters of PFP, within the PSFP section, in the Global Campaigns team. It reports to the position of Fundraising Manager (audience lead) in the Global Campaigns team.
For every child, a Champion
Under the guidance of the Fundraising Manager, Development Partnerships, and in collaboration with the full Global Campaigns team, the Fundraising Specialist (Convening) will develop initiatives and support markets to explore new ways of working with the private sector to accelerate the growth of high-value revenue streams at the eight-figure level to maximize resources and achieve results for children.
How can you make a difference?
Working in close collaboration with fundraising teams in National Committees and country offices, PFP teams, Regional Support Centers, Programme Groups, and other UNICEF divisions, the incumbent is accountable for the following:
1. Project manage the private sector climate co-creation offer
This offer is being developed out of a pilot in Denmark that brought together a group of private sector entities to agree upon what makes a climate-resilient community, and where they see their own and UNICEF’s role in supporting it. Through the ensuing journey, we aim to secure the highest-level partnership commitments starting in 2024.
2. Identify, lead, and deliver on streamlined ways of working in the convening space to drive income growth from prospect and current 8-figure partnerships.
3. Contribute to the Global Campaigns Team’s market knowledge and influence initiatives.
4. Additional support on initiatives or projects as needed.
