Fundraiser – Corporate Partnerships Specialist

Job Purpose

Working closely with ISF’s Head of Development and Communications and all the department, the DOCP is responsible for identifying and cultivating corporate and private foundation donors, creating and maintaining strong donor and partner relationships, overseeing donor communications, applications and reporting.

Accountability and Relationship:

  • Reports directly to the Head of Development and Communications (HDC)
  • The DOCP is part of a small team of international and local staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

Funding Opportunities:

  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from various sources, focusing on corporate and private foundations but not only.
  • Stay up-to-date with funding trends, donor priorities, and relevant funding criteria.

Proposals:

  • Write compelling and persuasive proposals to secure funding from different donors with a specific focus on companies and corporate foundations.
  • Ensure that proposals are submitted within deadlines and adhere to the guidelines and requirements of each donor.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.

Donor Relationship Management:

  • Manage relationships with medium-level donors, including trusts, corporate and foundations.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with existing corporate/foundation donors to maintain engagement and secure ongoing support.
  • Design and implement, in accordance with the HDC, donor engagement strategies to acquire, engage and retain corporate donors.
  • Collaborate with the team in maintaining ISF’s donor database updated, including accurate and up-to-date donor information, interactions, and contributions.

Other duties:

  • Collaborate with the department in optimizing donor relationship management systems (Salesforce).
  • Collaborate in writing donor progress and annual reports, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop donor budgets aligned with project proposals and funding requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for donors assigned, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting guidelines.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate MEL findings and insights.
  • Assist in planning and executing ISF online campaigns and events to raise funds and increase donor engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create compelling content for online campaigns (ex: Linkedin) and events – for corporate target audiences.
  • Supporting the HDC official documents’ preparation, donors’ agreements etc.

Skills and Competence

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a donor-facing role including fundraising, proposal writing and reporting
  • Formal qualification or training in Fundraising, Marketing, Communication or related field.
  • Advanced English written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful track record in securing and managing trust and foundation, corporate and institutional funding and major gifts
  • Successful track record in writing high quality funding proposals, applications and reports
  • Be self-motivated, solution-focused, outgoing, friendly and persuasive; comfortable meeting new people and be able to impress and motivate ISF’s current and potential donors and partners
  • Strong financial management skills to include budgeting, analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating donor-funded projects
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills

Desirable

  • CRM (Salesforce) experience
  • Good design skills – Canva, Google sheets
  • Experience of working in Cambodia

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7 hours a day plus ad hoc events as required.
