ABOUT THE FOUNDATION AND THE CAMPAIGN
The Dry July campaign is about more than just giving up alcohol, participants raise life-changing funds for people affected by cancer. Dry July Foundation (Foundation) is the registered charity behind the Dry July campaign and since the first campaign in 2008, has raised over $90 million to help improve the comfort, care, and well-being of people affected by cancer across Australia.
Dry July is recognised as a leader in peer-to-peer (P2P) digital fundraising and has continued to leverage its brand and digital innovation to deliver a low-cost fundraising campaign, that engages tens of thousands of participants and donors each year.
The Foundation distributes funding to beneficiaries across Australia including some of Australia’s top cancer organisations.
About the Role
The Fundraising and Campaign Executive is the 2IC for the execution of the Dry July campaign. The fundamental focus of this role is to plan, execute and optimise digital marketing strategies including email marketing, social media advertising, organic social, and paid search, either directly or working with agency partners and contractors.
This role requires a person with excellent communication and organisational skills, and attention to detail, who will help develop and implement the marketing activities of the Dry July campaign. To ensure success, you will need knowledge of digital marketing, campaign, and brand strategies with a strong understanding of the digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Fundraising and Campaign Executive has three key responsibilities:
- To create and deliver content for our marketing channels including website, social media (paid and organic) and emails.
- To manage Dry July marketing activity through social media (paid and organic), eDMs, SMS, and digital advertising, either through direct execution or via agency/contractor management.
- To monitor, analyse and report on the outcomes of marketing activity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- 3-4 year’s experience managing digital marketing and/or fundraising campaigns including agency management
- Social Media management experience, including organic and Facebook advertising
- Experience with Campaign Monitor
- Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Excel and data analytics skills
