Orange Sky is the world’s-first free mobile laundry and shower service provided to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday Australian’s to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.
The Role
The Fundraising team is key to activating and amplifying Orange Sky Australia’s campaigns and appeals to engage supporters, deepen their involvement, and grow our impact. Our work drives both community connection and fundraising goals, particularly growth of new supporters and regular givers through lead generation and online donations. The organisation is in an exciting growth stage and this role is key to delivering impactful supporter experiences across key channels including the website, email, social media, paid advertising, appeals and events.
In conjunction with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Capital Campaign Manager and the Philanthropy Manager the Fundraising Co-ordinator will develop and implement the Mid-value donor strategy and components of the capital campaign strategy to drive revenue growth;
In a nutshell this role will:
- Lead mid-value giving portfolio and small philanthropic budget, overseeing appeals from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish and implement a robust moves management process.
- Brief Marketing & Brand Team on appeals, mass marketing, and media plans, working closely with Senior Fundraising Manager and Capital Campaign Manager.
- Manage back-fill for core roles during absences, prioritised with line-manager considerations.
- Project manage components of appeals and capital campaign, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
- Oversee digital fundraising tools, including Funraisin, and conduct post-campaign analyses. A working knowledge of Campaign Monitor and Salesforce would give you a head start however knowledge of similar programs would be also valued.
- Work collaboratively with all relevant fundraising specialists at Orange Sky to identify and maximise opportunities to achieve our strategic objectives;
- Utilise data segmentation strategies, collaborate with fundraising specialists, and analyse data for strategic objectives.
- Manage external agencies and suppliers for acquisition strategies within agreed budgets and timelines.

The Fundraising Co-ordinator is positive, collaborative and creative. They will ideally have some experience in individual giving and mid-value giving and additionally they will have a drive and passion to make a difference in the lives of people in our community. We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser with a supporter-first mentality, who can turn campaign stories into meaningful value propositions to engage supporters deeply in our work and enable them to help deliver on the ground impact.
You’ll be skilled at multi-channel campaign planning and implementation, and be able to use your experience to analyse, research and recommend ways to optimise our current processes and trial new and innovative digital and physical fundraising tactics. As a proactive and ambitious team member, you’ll take ownership of the role and your fundraising targets. Proven digital fundraising experience in acquisition or growing a supporter base at an NGO, or equivalent experience in revenue or subscriber growth is a big plus.
- Demonstrated experience and an outstanding track record of success in managing end-to-end campaigns.
- Experience in managing fundraising platforms and email systems. Understanding of the integration with CRMs and building journeys would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and prioritise workflows.
- Experience and success implementing process management, moves management and overseeing project coordination.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Stakeholder management and the ability to collaborate with different teams and be flexible and responsive to a changing organisation that is growing and developing.
