The Opportunity
As the new Fundraising Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimising and supporting fundraising efforts through creating data-driven strategies. Your responsibility will be to ensure that fundraising efforts are efficient, effective, and tailored to the organisation’s strategy, which will ultimately increase the impact and success of fundraising activities.
This is an opportunity to enhance your current skills in a critical and strategic role with support from the Head of Digital and the wider Development & Communications team.
The Role
This role specifically requires you to:
- Analyse the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns by tracking key performance indicators such as response rates, conversion rates, and return on investment
- Provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns based on past performance data
- Gather and maintain a database of donor information, donation history, and engagement metrics
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular cleaning and validation processes
- Segment donors based on various criteria such as donation amount, frequency, and engagement levels
- Identify trends and patterns in donor behavior to inform targeted fundraising campaigns
- Create detailed reports and dashboards to present data insights to fundraising teams, management, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with other team members to align data analysis with overall fundraising goals
- Share your knowledge and passion for data with the wider team, this may include training and development initiatives
- Attend fundraising events with your team members as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working as a junior data analyst or data specialist within a Not For Profit organisation, analysing Fundraising data in a strategic way (essential)
- Experience extracting, managing, organising and analysing relational data (essential)
- Working knowledge of Raisers Edge, Salesforce or similar relational database (essential)
- Genuine passion for the not for profit sector, particularly empowering children and young people
- A team player and able to collaborate, share ideas and lead by example
- Strategic thinker
- Curious mind and strong problem solving skills
- Kind, caring and compassionate
Working knowledge of MailChimp, MS Dynamics, Funraisin is advantageous but not essential.
In addition, you will be required to undertake a Police Check and Working with Children’s Check.
The Offer
Our Client’s office is a short distance from Melbourne’s central business district, however candidates living interstate are encouraged to apply as remote working options can be made available.
This role is paying up to $103,603 + Super (commensurate with experience), plus full salary packaging, a host of other leave benefits and a Learning & Development budget to support your professional growth.
