Under the general guidance of the Representative (P5), the Fundraising Officer (NOA) oversees the Individual Giving and Corporate Partners strategic planning, development and implementation with the objective of maximizing the income and number of active donors and business partners of UNICEF Paraguay, by supporting the development and implementation of donor acquisition, value maximization and retention strategies and business partners engagement for fundraising and escalating results for children.
Purpose of the Job:
This post will provide strategic and tactical support across the Individual Giving channels with the aim of maximizing resources for results (RR) revenue for UNICEF Paraguay. The post holder will contribute to the success of the fundraising investment allocated to the Country Office and manage and deliver on the associated KPI’s for investment working closely with the LAC Regional Office.
Key business areas will be face to face, CPTP (corporate pathways to pledge), digital, telemarketing, cash and emergency fundraising in addition to donor retention and value maximization. A key focus area will be to ensure that Individuals channels are being optimized through appropriate investment and ensuring the best regional practices have been adopted to keep a high level of quality and success in the fundraising programmes.
In additional to working with individual giving channels, the post holder will maintain private sector engagement from strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of Corporate and Philanthropy alliances, developing long terms plans for private sector fundraising activities in the market and advocating and managing investment proposals to ensure sufficient investment. This role includes the coordination of the activities of the UNICEF Paraguay Business Advisory Council, especially to leverage its advocacy and opportunities for resource mobilization.
And finally, the post holder will also support UNICEF Paraguay on its Business for Results work, supporting the engagement with business associations.
The post of the Fundraisings Officer as part of the Paraguay Country Office (CO) team, will work closely with Country Management Team (CMT) members, Communication and Advocacy team and will be supported and work closely by the LAC Regional Office.

Education: A university degree in any of the following: Marketing, Communication, Fundraising, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, or equivalent.
A first level university degree (Bachelor’s) in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience: At least 2 years hands-on experience, in progressively responsible roles, of managing and developing Individual Giving and / or Corporate Fundraising activities, with at least 2 of those years in charities/NGOs, including experience of international fundraising.
