Job description
About the assignment
We’re looking for a Fundraising Strategies Mentor who can volunteer remotely from home for six months.
- This assignment seeks to increase the securing of funding for projects and relocation-related needs as well as engage supporters locally and globally.
- You will be working alongside local staff and developing their skills further in fundraising.
- As a volunteer, you will support the safeguarding of biodiversity in Indonesia.
About the Partner Organisation
Yayasan Konservasi Alam Yogyakarta (Wildlife Rescue Centre Jogja), based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is dedicated to safeguarding Indonesia’s biodiversity by rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife, protecting them against the illegal wildlife trade, providing sanctuary when needed, and reinforcing the population of endangered species through conservation breeding.
With the ongoing national infrastructure development, particularly the construction of toll roads near their current location, they’re facing challenges and an urgent need to secure resources and international connections to relocate their centre to continue their mission. The volunteer will provide assistance in researching and identifying fundraising opportunities to support this.
About the Australian Volunteers Program
The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government-funded initiative. We support partner organisations across the Pacific, Asia, and Africa to achieve locally led change.
