Bộ Tài nguyên và Môi trường (Cơ quan chủ quản dự án) / Cục Biến đổi khí hậu (Chủ dự án) đang triển khai Dự án “Nâng cao năng lực quản lý dữ liệu và thông tin báo cáo phù hợp với yêu cầu Khung minh bạch tăng cường của Thỏa thuận Paris về biến đổi khí hậu” (Dự án CBIT) do Quỹ Môi trường toàn cầu (GEF) tài trợ thông qua Chương trình Phát triển Liên hợp quốc (UNDP). Dự án thực hiện từ 2022 đến 2026 với mục tiêu là nâng cao năng lực của Việt Nam trong việc kiểm kê và thực hiện giảm nhẹ phát thải khí nhà kính phù hợp yêu cầu của Khung minh bạch tăng cường của Thỏa thuận Paris: tăng cường năng lực và công cụ ở cấp quốc gia để giám sát, báo cáo và theo dõi phát thải khí nhà kính, các hành động giảm phát thải khí nhà kính và nguồn lực hỗ trợ.

Cùng với các hoạt động đã được thực hiện và hỗ trợ bởi các đối tác khác, dự án này sẽ tập trung vào nâng cao năng lực để đáp ứng các quy định của Điều 13 Thỏa thuận Paris.

Năm 2022, Ban Quản lý dự án (CBIT PMU) đã được thành lập để hỗ trợ Cục Biến đổi khí hậu thực hiện dự án này.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE)/ Department of Climate Change (DCC) is implementing the Project “Strengthen Viet Nam’s capacities to manage data flows and report information adequately to fulfil the enhanced transparency framework of the Paris Agreement requirements” (CBIT project) funded by GEF/UNDP. Implemented between 2022 and 2026, the project’s goal is to strengthen the national Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) system in order to enable Viet Nam to meet the international ETF requirements of the PA: building capacities and tools at national level will be provided to monitor, report and track GHG emissions, mitigation actions and funding.

Together with activities already carried out and supported by other partners, this project will focus on capacity building to meet the provisions from Article 13 of the Paris Agreement. Components will contribute to the design a national MRV system for GHG emission inventories, climate change mitigation measures and support.

In 2022, a project management unit (CBIT PMU) was established to support DCC to implement this project.
