Life Project 4 Youth is an international movement of 17 organizations in 14 countries whose mission is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of Young people (17-24 yo) from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion.
Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) is a dynamic organization dedicated to supporting young adults by encouraging, advocating and accompanying them on their journey to success. Our dedicated US team raises around $800k each year through various initiatives, and we’re seeking passionate individuals to join us!

Gala Event Manager (Volunteer)
Contract : Volunteering Contract – 3 months from November 2024 to January 2025 // from January to March 2025
Location : New York City
Are you an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a passion for making a difference?
We’re looking for a volunteer Gala Event Manager to play a crucial role in organizing our prestigious 2025 Gala in New York City. You’ll leverage your project management skills and communication expertise to ensure a successful and impactful event.
Roles:
- Lead the overall planning and execution of the 2025 LP4Y Gala in New York City occurring in March.
- Develop and manage a detailed event timeline and budget.
- Secure and manage vendor relationships for venue, catering, entertainment, decorations, and other event logistics.
- Oversee all aspects of auction management, including soliciting donations, managing the auction platform, and promoting auction items.
- Coordinate communication efforts, including developing event marketing materials, managing mailings, and overseeing audiovisual equipment for the gala.
- Collaborate effectively with the LP4Y US Team to ensure a seamless and successful event.
Expériences / Formation
Criteria:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Project management experience, preferably within the event management field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for philanthropy and creating a positive impact on young people’s lives.
- Preferred: Educational background in Business Administration (Ecole de commerce) or Project Management.
