Scholarship information

This scholarship supports high-achieving students to apply their skills, learning and passion in an internship experience at the Key Campus (formerly the Human Services Campus) to advance the mission to end homelessness.

• Maximum total scholarship amount: $5,000 ($2,500 per semester max)
– 240 hours (16 hours a week) over TWO semesters
• Minimum hours required is 10 hours per week. Scholarship amount will be adjusted based on internship hours.
• Open to students across majors at ASU (PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS INTERNSHIP MEETS YOUR PROGRAM’S INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS.)
• Students will be supported as a cohort, and will have access to a range of learning opportunities including shadowing a variety of positions on Key Campus.
• Deadline is July 1st but application reviews start end of May!
• Internship requires a fingerprint clearance card. Please make sure that you obtain one prior to your interview.

•Student skills and interests will be matched with Keys to Change goals and current project needs.

Application information

You will need:
• Personal statement addressing service experiences
• Resume
• TWO letters of recommendation – make sure to click the blue “Add an item” button to add a second recommender

Under the supervision of the Action Nexus Project Manager, students will be allocated to projects at the Key Campus that aim to improve client outcomes, by contributing to the efficacy of Keys to Change operations, advancing research and innovative solutions to homelessness, and working with us to make their unique contribution to addressing homelessness in Arizona. Project opportunities in include, but are not limited to:
•Direct client services and assistance
•Assistance with data collection of client engagement, including conducting surveys and focus groups
•Outreach and engagement efforts
