Job Highlights

We are hiring two people to serve as Garden Coordinators this summer. These are Pennsylvania Mountain Service Corps (PMSC)., AmeriCorps position for a total of 300 hours from April 29, 2024 to August 2, 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for planting and providing overall maintenance of the ICCD community gardens, native landscape, greenhouses, and other demonstration plantings. They will coordinate volunteer planting and maintenance days, provide educational programming to youth and adult groups, and coordinate the use of the District greenhouses. This is a great position for anyone that wants to be outside!

Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess a High school Diploma and an Associates Degree (preferred) in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management or related field and have experience with gardening and working in community gardens. Knowledge of sustainable gardening practices is a plus!

Job Compensation

Since this is a PMSC AmeriCorps position, all compensation is handled through the AmeriCorps program. Available compensation includes a bi-weekly living stipend of $415.00,
education award of $1,459.26, and other possible benefits as detailed by the AmeriCorps program advisors. This 300 hour position works out to approximately 22 hours per week. Visit www.PMSC.org for more information about the AmeriCorps program.
