£22,980 to £26,189 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Churchill College is looking to recruit a gardener to join the Grounds & Gardens team. The site covers nearly 50 acres and has a diverse set of environments including:

• Herbaceous & shrub borders
• A Parterre
• Wildflower areas, naturalised bulbs and beehives
• A National Plant Collection
• An orchid collection
• Student gardens and greenhouse
• Impressive collection of nearly 1,000 trees

The gardens are managed in an environmentally positive way with an emphasis on biodiversity and ecosystems. The grounds and gardens are there for the enjoyment of the students, staff, Fellows and general public.

The role covers the full range of gardening tasks and can be working alongside gardeners, trainees, Churchill students or on your own. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic gardener to join our experienced team to maintain the gardens and to help continue developing them further. Experience in a similar role or as a trainee is essential and a horticultural qualification would be beneficial.

Occasional weekend work may be required. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake further training as appropriate for the post.
