Gardener (Volunteer Facilitator)

At the City of London Corporation, the City Gardens matter. We look after over 160 spaces which
give people the chance to enjoy relax amidst the bustle of the city of London, and to bring
nature into the centre of London. We’re proud that our spaces maintain the highest standards,
and we have a team committed to keep things that way.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Gardener who enjoys working with the public
and can deliver corporate volunteer days. They will also help maintain our award winning
gardens to the highest standards. Your varied role will require a full range of horticultural
skills and use of landscaping equipment and you will be supported with the resources to help
implement projects and ongoing improvements.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a level 2 horticulture qualification
  • Have demonstrable people skills and be confident talking to groups of people.
  • Be flexible and be able to work in a team and on their own
  • Be able to use mobile technology to work on the move
