JOB SUMMARY:

CARE has over 20 years of experience engaging with women garment workers. Through its Made by Women program, since 2016, CARE has deepened relationships at all levels of the supply chain to increase the breadth and depth of its impact in approximately 11 countries —Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, and engages at the regional and global levels. At the same time, CARE’s engagement in the garment sector has tremendous untapped ‘impact and scaling’ potential.

Are you enthusiastic about facilitating impactful change in supply chain operations and integrating gender perspectives into program design? Do you excel in coordinating diverse teams and fostering innovation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

CARE Impact Partners is looking for a garment innovation manager to set up and operationalize the MVP of a potential garment program incubator. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the design and management of the MVP, working closely with technical experts and advisors to facilitate program selection, coordinate technical support for program teams, and engage stakeholders to ensure collaboration and knowledge-sharing, and arrive at an MVP for a future garment incubator.

Opportunity Statements:
1. Extracting and embedding impactful program components into private-sector supply chain engagements and strategies can unlock the potential for sustained progress on gender equity and support the scaling of impacts beyond grant cycles and program groups.
2. Facilitating access to well-tested best practices and solutions tailored specifically for the factory context can address barriers linked to ‘know-how’ to advancing gender equity. Actionable lessons learned that resonate with the industry promote widespread adoption and scalability of effective practices.
3. Capitalizing on the “Fail Fast and Fail Forward” concept, deeply ingrained in the philosophy of “Learning by Doing,” ensures programs are set up to undergo an iterative redesign to respond to supply chain realities, thereby finally arriving at a program design that is relevant and most impactful.
