JOB SUMMARY:
The GBV Prevention Worker will be responsible for specialized GBV awareness and prevention activities. He/she will liaise with the community members and key stakeholders in fronting GBV prevention activities, and coordinate with the IMC Community Workers team for more general GBV messages to be spread in the community.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Adopt to the program designed monitoring and evaluation tools for community awareness raising sessions in GBV, including men’s dialogues, focused GBV sessions with women and girls, Quick chats, group discussion series guided by GBV related pictograms. In coordination with the GBV Team leader, GBV assistant, and other key partners.
-Organize and deliver GBV community awareness raising -Sensitize , inform , form and oversee the running of the EMAP group sessions both male and female in the community.
-Strengthen and maintain networks through other service providers and local authorities to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners (protection, health, legal, and psychosocial sectors).
-Work in collaboration with GBV Team leader to ensure ongoing needs of women and girls are being met through prevention-related activities.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Diploma holders in social sciences or bachelors degree.
2. Experience: 1 year experience in GBV field. NGO experience is a plus.
3. Knowledge: The GBV Prevention Worker should understand GBV principles, international standards, and legal frameworks. They should be familiar with Humen rights.
