You will
Ensure project implementation
Ensure the day-to-day operations of projects and other activities of the Gender and Peacemaking Programme
Development of concept notes and design projects for gender-sensitive peacemaking projects
Conduct regular monitoring of donor policy priorities and funding opportunities
Maintain communication with donors and ensure compliance and implementation of projects in line with donor implementation
Contribute to the Institute’s implementation of its Gender and Peacemaking Strategy 2.0 by drafting Guidance Notes for personnel and conducting staff learning sessions; giving ad-hoc advice for gender mainstreaming and collecting relevant data to measure implementation of the GPM Strategy 2.0
Monitor relevant international and EU policy developments linked to the Women, Peace and Security field and develop knowledge, expertise and relationships with key stakeholders
Prepare briefings and reporting material to Senior Management Team as well as the Institute’s Board
Profile
University degree in gender studies with an international focus, international relations, conflict resolutions, or related field
4 years of work experience in the international or EU field, 2 spent in the field of Women, Peace and Security agenda, gender mainstreaming or gender-sensitive conflict resolution
Perfect command of English
Experience working with the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
Knowledge of and experience in working with gender mainstreaming within an international NGO, strategy implementation and gender mainstreaming support to colleagues
Experience providing gender training and conveying knowledge to a diverse audience
Excellent knowledge of project cycle management and in budget management
