Description of the Assignment: Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist
Period of assignment/services: 6 Months
UNDP is seeking a specialist to assist the Innovation Center in guaranteeing that gender mainstreaming and social inclusion issues are observed in the design and implementation of its interventions as well as assess and provide strategic advice on how to ensure delivery of gender and social equality interventions within the supported initiatives.
The overall objective of the specialist is to assist the Innovation Center and partners in analyzing the needs of women, men, vulnerable groups and addressing any gender inequalities so all groups can equally participate in activities, and equally benefit from the resources, services, capacity building and other activities offered by the initiatives of the Innovation Center. In this, the specialist will liaise with colleagues across the UNDP Innovation Center to ensure appropriate budgeting, programme design and monitoring & evaluation techniques are implemented to uphold gender and social inclusion targets.
