ABOUT THE ROLE

The General Manager Digital & Technology will align the digital eco-system with the GSANZ 2023-2027 Strategic Plan by:

  • Building and enhancing our digital capability s as a seamless network of cross-industry services covering a variety of user needs. These services are accessed under a single user profile, that enable us to intuitively deliver our support services to our clients.
  • Creating and implementing a plan to build the digital Eco System across the organisation that will involve re-engineering key processes, digitising paper-based systems, building new interfaces, upgrading legacy software, and linking disparate systems and processes into a seamless and efficient digital ecosystem which enhances service delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing the organisation’s current digital capabilities and collaborating with the executive, colleagues, and service users to co-design a digital eco system that has our clients at the centre of the system.
  • Formulating digital transformation strategies to align with the priorities and goals of the GSANZ vision and strategy.
  • Manage and develop a team of motivated technology professionals to ensure the right prioritization and sequencing of activity aligned with the digital strategy.
  • Guiding the implementation of digital initiatives, utilising project management methodologies and evaluating their impact on business performance, client satisfaction and user experience.
  • Researching market trends, identifying new opportunities for digital innovation, and preparing business cases to support implementation of initiatives to deliver an integrated user experience of service provision.
  • Define and lead IT projects that improve or enhance Interoperability of systems and business processes that reduce manual interventions, paper based and siloed applications to increase the effectiveness and reliability of the digital ecosystem.
  • Build a digital ecosystem that fosters a customer centric culture by collaborating with stakeholders to improve digital system applications and usability.
  • Enable a data driven digital approach that collects relevant information about processes, clients, and transactions, guiding decision making at GSANZ.,
  • Enhance data analytics capability that support GSANZ in strategic organisational decision-making through actionable insights.
  • Implementing strategies to engage and educate employees in the organisation to work towards a shared objective, driving data-literacy, and encourage senior leaders to be active participants.
  • Continuously improve system operations maturity and ensure that rigorous cybersecurity measures are in place for data integrity and privacy. Implement a security posture aligned with the sensitive information we store and the financial services we provide.

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualifications and extensive experience in Information Technology systems and IT operations management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people, develop talent and value diversity of perspectives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital eco-systems for a national organisation that offers a wide and diverse breadth of services to clients using multiple IT applications.
  • Demonstrable understanding/knowledge of emerging and new technologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning and other technological advances that could enhance the organisational digital eco-system.
  • A satisfactory Police Check.
  • A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
