An incredible opportunity has arisen for a General Manager NDIS Programs to join our team and make a real impact here at WISE Employment.

The General Manager NDIS Programs is nationally responsible for leading and managing WISE NDIS programs. This includes directly supporting and managing the performance of staff and all its partners under the NDIS program and, where required, building relationships with the NDIA. It is also responsible for enhancing the wider organisational-based NDIS and community mental health initiatives.

This role is the key support to the Executive (Strategy Quality and Partnerships) in ensuring the delivery of the organisation’s diversification, quality and expansion plan through appropriate leverage and strategies across the community.

What we are looking for…

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant university qualifications.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Government, NDIS and philanthropic sector, including challenges in regard to not-for-profit organisations, community, NDIS and Government relationships.
  • Proven successful experience in developing, coordinating and managing national programs, including the direct support of team members and coordination of partners.
  • Good knowledge of and experience in developing practical and sustainable business plans including creating, managing and analysing budgets.
  • Highly developed and demonstrated partnership, communication, consortium and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal and networking skills and proven ability to develop effective relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Strong experience in team leadership and management, including staff development.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in not-for-profit organisations, community and Government relationships.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing and developing a highly skilled, motivated and efficient NDIS team.
  • Supporting and managing the performance and reach of the national NDIS program, including the relationships with internal and external partner organisations.
  • Maintain organisational and operational standards, oversee funding body contracts and ensure that relevant legislation requirements are met across the program.
  • Manage operational and consortium structures, processes, activities and budgets.
  • Communicate and work effectively across the organisation to develop sound relationships and deliver contractual requirements including NDIS, JVES and WISE Ways to Work Service Delivery Model.
  • Collaborate effectively with other business units and departments of WISE and external partners to meet business objectives and deliver business plans.
  • Strategise, plan and support partners to achieve optimal business outcomes, targets and objectives.
  • Monitor and interpret financial statements, budgets and relating funding body performance indicator reports; taking appropriate action to ensure organisational goals are met.
  • Ensure bi-monthly WISE NDIS community practice meetings occur, as well as strategy for customer feedback across the regions.
  • Where required liaise and build relationships with Departmental Funding/Account Managers.
  • Work with Head of Research & Tenders to explore and deliver high-impact research and analysis that highlights our social impact of the NDIS program (using the WISE Impact Promise framework) and leads to brokering solutions for positive social change and that may influence government policy and direction.
  • Develop funding applications with third-party funding agencies to improve, expand and grow WISE’s NDIS and WWTW programs.
  • Expansion of partnership opportunities to further leverage WISE’s impact within the community.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s diversification and expansion plan to facilitate a sustainable future that is aligned to our Mission.
  • Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships across WISE on partnerships opportunities including effectively communicating with Executive and relevant staff.
  • Participate where required as part of the organisation Senior Leadership Team, and as part of the Divisional Senior Managers group.
  • As a leader and General Manager, you will promote and foster a hybrid work environment, leading and managing teams remotely.
