With over 850 staff, MiCare provide a comprehensive range of community services including retirement living, residential aged care, home and community care, and migrant services across Victoria and Queensland.
Reporting to the CEO, this newly created executive leadership role will provide strategic human resource management (HRM) to the organisation, further enhancing their people systems, processes and innovating programs to position MiCare as an employer of choice.
The General Manager People Services will work in partnership with business leaders to address operational needs and drive staff engagement, diversity and inclusion, psychological safety, and capability development across the organisation. The role also oversees the payroll function and experience in interpreting Awards and EBAs for accurate payroll processing is required.
The successful candidate will present with a collaborative and considered approach and the ability to problem solve effectively in a complex and ever-changing environment.
The General Manager People Services will present with generalist HRM skills and demonstrate the following:
- A Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, HR or Business +/- Certification with AHRI
- Prior experience gained in a similar role delivering both strategic and operational outcomes within a community, health or not for profit environment
- An open, inclusive leadership style and the ability lead culture and develop a high performing HRM team.
- The ability to provide subject matter expertise, coaching, and advice on Industrial and Employee Relations matters
- Extensive knowledge of employment law, including experience in the interpretation and application of industrial instruments and EBA negotiations.
- The ability to establish consistent contractual arrangements and performance standards that adhere to the values of MiCare
- Prior experience leading change and organisational development initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to EEO, WH&S and Cultural Diversity principles
- Proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
