Role Purpose

The General Manager Quality and Continuous Improvement is a new, exciting, and innovative enterprise-wide opportunity for those seeking to lead, change and enhance practice at an organisational level. As part of the Good Shepherd Australia and New Zealand (GSANZ) Senior Leadership Team, this role is accountable for leading Good Shepherd’s Clinical Governance platform.

This critical role will contribute to the growth, development, and continuous improvement of clinical services across the organisation. The role will oversee the development and operationalisation of new services as they pertain to client service delivery. Working closely with Executive and Senior Leaders across the organisation, the role will drive practice quality and enhance the professional culture of client facing staff through the consolidation and implementation of the GSANZ 2023-27 Strategy, practice frameworks, communities of practice, advanced clinical training, reflective practice, and operational plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance based on practice data and contemporary research that delivers continual business improvement to service delivery outcomes.
  • Liaise with Executive General Managers and General Manager about implementing the requirements of legislation, funding requirements and contracts while understanding the individual needs of the client.
  • Works with senior leaders, from both the Good Shepherd Institute and Ecological Enablement (Divisions of GSANZ), to co-develop and then implement new evidence informed/based programs together with the General Managers Client Services.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, briefings and submissions on complex service, practice, policy, and operational matters for Executive team, and/or CEO.
  • Develop a culture of evidenced based business improvement through secondary consultation, case reviews, clinical professional development, and reflective and evidence-based practice.

About you

  • Post Graduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or other related allied health field.
  • Minimum 10 years Executive Level experience in community Services, Allied Health, or Government.
  • Demonstrated excellence service development and clinal frameworks and services.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience of specialist clinical practice knowledge and application of an area relevant to work with vulnerable women and families.
  • Demonstrated capacity to transform conceptual and strategic thinking into operational and sustainable practice.
