The Organisation
Based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, very close to the CBD (with option to work from home up to two days per week) our client is a sector leading, innovative, for-purpose organisation. Led by an inspiring and highly regarded CEO and Executive Team, the organisation is looking for a Strategy and Innovation professional to lead and oversee several key operational aspects of the organisation.
The Position
Reporting to the CEO, and as a key member of the ELT, the General Manager – Strategy & Innovation is responsible for leading and overseeing key operational aspects including:
- Strategy support
- Technology (ICT)
- Impact measurement, and
- Project management.
A key deliverable is to support the CEO and ELT in implementing, executing and operationalising the Strategic Plan, providing technical and adaptive leadership, and aligning operational activities and outcomes with strategic objectives, as well as strengthening service delivery and business profitability through innovation, evaluation, collaboration and capacity building.
There are also a number of existing projects to take ownership of, namely the development and implementation of an ICT strategic plan, and the development and implementation of a Procurement Framework.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and have:
- Extensive leadership experience (minimum 5 years) within complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in driving ESG strategic frameworks and outcomes, with a strong understanding of reporting and impact measurement.
- Demonstrated success and experience managing projects and organisational change in complex environments.
- Oversight of an ICT function, at an Executive Leadership level.

On offer is a salary of circa $195K (plus superannuation) commensurate with experience, and attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging benefits. Flexible work options are available, with a requirement to be in the inner-city office at least 3 days per week. Also 6 additional leave days are gifted on top of the standard 4 weeks annual leave, along with a 17% leave loading.
