Our Service:
headspace centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.
On offer:
- Opportunity based in either headspace Woolloongabba or headspace Nundah
- Flexible working hours/days – ideally 1 day per week
- Open to discussions regarding remuneration packages
- Access to professional training /development
- Onsite clinical support
- Full reception and administrative support
Role overview:
- Provide high standard GP assessments of young people experiencing physical and mental health issues.
- Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creating Mental Health Care Plans for internal referrals, Psychiatrist and Allied Health Services.
- Providing high quality, primary health care services to those accessing headspace.
- Respond to medical/health concerns presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
- Encourage and support young people to engage with sexual health and drug and alcohol services as well as preventative health care.
Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
- A commitment to quality youth focused primary health care services to those accessing the Centre
- Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and a willingness to Bulk Bill
- Level 1 in Mental Health Skills Training
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
