Job Description:
The Generational Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Alumni Relations team’s comprehensive engagement strategy, specifically with regard to class and generational affinity and engagement. This position facilitates class and generational events, elections, and class and generational communications, and coordinates with the Alumni Relations Finance and Operations team on the complex Class Dues process. The Program Manager also recruits and manages committees of volunteer leaders for assigned class and generational cohorts, and designs/delivers class and generational programming for several decades of classes. In addition, the Program Manager works with the Assistant Director, Class Programs to ensure the board of the Association of Class Leaders (ACL) is supported and stewarded appropriately.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (alumni relations, volunteer management, development, higher education, nonprofit, fundraising, event planning, etc.).
Required Qualifications
Experience working with volunteers/external constituency groups. Ability to work collaboratively with volunteer groups and leaders.
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite of tools, experience with web and email technology, experience using databases, ability to learn new technology quickly.
Competency in the full Google suite of products, along with ability to find, use and master new technology.
Must have working knowledge of Eventbrite, Zoom, and other virtual event platforms.
Excellent customer relations skills and a high level of tact and discretion is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with finesse interacting with faculty, senior administration and high-profile alumni. And a strong relationship builder who is diplomatic.
Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as travel as needed. Often work is required during Memorial Day Weekend for reunion and commencement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education/non-profit setting highly desired.
Event planning experience is also desired.
