You will help us to define the future strategy ensuring that geometry is available to those who need it to validate the product such that it is neither under- and over-delivered of data, follows the right framework of maturity to develop a roadmap for change. You will work closely with our business stakeholders and external suppliers to develop the future strategy for managing geometry and lead business transformation projects to ensure we have the right systems, tools, and processes in place to establish a world class geometry management operation. Having extensive experience in Product Lifecycle Management systems is essential for this role.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:The Geometry Management Lead will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements to develop a world class process for managing geometry (CAD), engaging with suppliers (internal and external) to communicate our future requirements to transform the way we manage geometry, and engaging with suppliers to understand future planned development which will impact on the way we manage geometry. You will also be developing our future transformation roadmap for managing world class geometry, designing, developing, and implementing end to end processes for managing geometry (CAD) in the most efficient way, leading to deploying transformation projects which enable us to deliver world class geometry.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to simplify information and clearly communicate to others, in person and through documentation in writing. You will also be able to assimilate information quickly with the ability to manage specific tasks with focus and motivation while working in a dynamic team environment, have confidence to question the current thinking. Industry experience of Automotive or Manufacturing would be an advantage. The ability to demonstrable experience guiding and educating customers in relation to 3D Experience, knowledge or experience in the delivery using Agile methodologies and Scrum, as well as understanding current JLR processes (including our use of the Atlassian toolset) or has a background that will allow them to establish themselves in the shortest timeframe possible to audit and critically evaluate the ways in which we work, would all be desirable.WHAT YOU’LL NEEDExtensive experience with PLM systems is a requirement for this application as you will help us to understand if the way we use this tool currently is appropriate.Expert in managing geometry (CAD)Experience of solution or process development with a proven track record of being able to lead projects and deploy change effectively.Experience managing multiple stakeholder requirements, some of which may conflict, whilst developing processes.Experience of collaborating with external suppliers.Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
