Watershed Progressive (WP) is currently seeking a GIS professional who is proficient with spatial analysis, modeling, research, report writing, cartography, and project management. This position is focused on water resources modeling. It requires the ability to take directions and execute work products, including standalone Python scripts, image classification, spatial statistics, and map production. Successful candidates will have a proven track record for meeting deadlines and working independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Experience with urban planning and environmental science issues facing watersheds in California is highly desired.
WP has offices in Groveland, CA, near Yosemite, and in Ojai, CA. This position can be entirely remote work, except for 2 annual retreats.

Four years of experience with GIS as related to this job description.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, geography, planning, cartography, or a closely related field.
NOTE: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education lacked on a year-for-year basis. One year of full-time experience = 30 semester/45 quarter college-level units.
NOTE: A Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, geography, planning, cartography, or a closely related field may be substituted for a MAXIMUM of one year of the required experience.
