Term: 3 years with possible extension based on funding

Job Description
MDF is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of a GIS Coordinator/Data Manager (Coordinator) for the organization’s conservation programs. In this role, you will be a critical member of our conservation team by providing expertise in geospatial analysis, data management, remote sensing, and cartographic skills. The Coordinator will work with our conservation staff to address a diversity of geospatial needs for our on-the-ground programs, collaborate in enhancing projects with GIS support, provide spatial data analysis and maps for project documentation and promotion, and manage MDF’s project database(s). The Coordinator will also provide GIS-based information to MDF communications and marketing teams and leadership to promote MDF project accomplishments and project priorities. This position will range from mapping, modeling, and database management to leadership and creativity for exploring solutions to the pressing needs that will guide conservation strategy and implementation. The Coordinator will also lead in preparing maps, storyboards, and other geographic and data material for documents, promotional efforts, websites, social, and other venues.
