We are seeking a GIS & Data Insights Officer to support the Trust in building its GIS and
data gathering, analysis and reporting capabilities across a diverse range of areas such as
sustainability, organisational performance, impact reporting and inspirational storytelling.

About Us

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is a registered charity and the oldest Wildlife Trust in the country.
Established in 1926, we now manage over 60 nature reserves and other protected sites in Norfolk
including ten kilometres of coastline, nine Norfolk broads, nine National Nature Reserves and
five ancient woodlands.

We protect and restore our county’s wild spaces by managing our nature reserves, working in
partnership throughout the landscape and inspiring people to enjoy and care for Norfolk’s
nature through projects, education activities, events and campaigns.

About the Role

This is an exciting time for Norfolk’s largest conservation charity as it journeys towards its
centenary in 2026 and continues to expand its vital work for Norfolk’s wildlife.

If you love data and using the latest technologies to collect, analyse and share valuable
evidence and insights, if you are passionate about sharing your skills and supporting others to
work with systems and data, then this may be the role for you.

We are seeking a highly motivated GIS and Data Insights Officer to join our Strategy, Impact
and Projects team. This new role will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance
on GIS and best practice data management and analysis across the Trust. You will manage and
enable data-led projects and encourage and support the exploration of new technologies. You
will support the Trust in building its GIS and data analysis, insights and reporting
capabilities across a diverse range of areas such as sustainability, organisational
performance, impact reporting and inspirational storytelling.

Excellent co-ordination, collaboration and delivery skills are essential to allow you to
support and enable the organisation to build on strong foundations and leverage GIS and other
technologies and data to create even greater impact.

The post offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong GIS and data experience
who is keen to share their skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.
