A fast growing SME consultancy with ambitious growht plans are looking to bring on a dedicated GIS / CAD Technician to manage the mapping production of the ecology team. The consultancy has a group of experienced ecologists, all trained in QGIS, who due to increasing number of Biodiversity Impact Assessment projects, require a GIS / CAD Technician to provide full-time support.The Role:A GIS /CAD technician would work closely alongside the ecology team to provide mapping support and expand the capacity for CAD Map production. Beyond mapping support, expansion of the businesses knowledge of QGIS and taking on of mangement and development of mapping templates, projecrs and procedures will be encouraged. Possibility to tender GIS-led projects and progression into a strategic role are both possibilities. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days in either the Cheltenham or Oxford offie per week.Qualifications / Requirements:

• Previous experience with QGIS and CAD
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Communicative with fluent written / spoken English
• Understanding of BNG, HRA, UK Habs is desirable
• Understanding of Ecological Surveys
• Biodiversity Impact Assessment experience (advantageous)
