Our model for success is a better life for everyone and purposeful tasks for our employees. For more than 50 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), as a company of the German Federal Government, has been supporting the implementation of development policy goals worldwide. Together with partner organisations in 120 countries, we are involved in a diverse range of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you”ve come to the right place.
The Digital & Green Innovation Action (DGI) is a programme powered by GIZ, BMZ, the EU and a consortium of European partner agencies. Focused on a just and inclusive transition, DGI merges digitalization with sustainability (Twin Transition), driving solutions for global challenges and fostering economic, social, and environmental benefits. Targeting entrepreneurship and innovation, DGI supports sustainable development, with a special emphasis on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups to address environmental issues. The programme is a Team Europe collaboration, which aims to support technology-powered solutions and dialogues addressing pressing environmental challenges.
As the DGI Action approaches its final phase, the internship will focus on supporting the organization of the event DGI Summit Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) (26–29 October 2026) as well as assisting the DGI team members in project closing activities. As a DGI intern, you will gain a profound understanding of GIZ/BMZ/EU member state collaboration in the context of digital and green innovation.
The DGI team is always keen to learn from new team members. If you have knowledge in an area we could benefit from, there will be time and space dedicated to this.
