Who are we?
The position sits within the Programme Division (PD), part of the Strategy, Programme and Learning (SPL) Department. The PD’s role is to ensure the development of operational and programmatic policies and standards for DRC’s international work, based on the organisation’s principles for quality and accountability; amongst others, it supports DRC operations in meeting external and internal standards, has overall responsibility for facilitating programme and policy development processes within DRC’s SPL Department, and provides programme-related technical advisory and support to DRC country and regional operations.
About the job
The Global CVA Advisor is primarily responsible for defining and implementing DRC global CVA strategy, as well as ensuring quality CVA programming across DRC operations. The Global CVA Advisor provides targeted strategic and technical support to DRC’s regional and country teams with respect to CVA programming across core sectors (i.e. Protection, Economic Recovery, Humanitarian Disarmament & Peacebuilding, Shelters & Settlements, Camp Coordination and Camp Management) and programme platforms (i.e. Responding to Emergencies, Solutions to Displacement, Addressing Root Causes), as part of an increasingly holistic and integrated approach. In addition, the Global CVA Advisor drives the process of enhancing CVA-related preparedness and capacity at regional and country levels.

In this position, you are expected to travel 30% to 50% of the time.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have significant experience with international humanitarian and/or development organisations, and significant demonstrable experience working on CVA programming, preferably in the context of forced displacement.

Contract length: The position is permanent.
Workplace: The position is located by default in DRC’s headquarters in Copenhagen. Other locations in countries where DRC is registered may be considered on an exceptional basis. Therefore, if you are interested in and qualified for this position, please indicate your preferred DRC duty station in your cover letter.
Start date: 1 April 2024
Salary and conditions for the position will be on DRC terms.
