Key Responsibilities:

The Benefits Manager provides strategic direction, planning, and designof WVIs robust employee benefits program. As the leader, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that World Visions benefit programs for USbased staff and Expats are aligned with business objectives, meet legal requirements and achieve a balance between being externally competitive, meeting employee needs and managing internal cost constraints. This includes full responsibility for the US and expat benefits strategy as well as hands on participation inimplementing,administering, and maintaining the respective benefits programs and policies.

Direct and manage US & Expat health and welfare benefits programs.

  • Develop, manage and lead the design, communication, and implementation of WVI benefits programs for US-based employees and Expats. This includes health, wellness, disability, life, retirement plans, voluntary benefits, and leave policies.

  • Strategic alignment to market and benchmark analysis of benefits programs in alignment with WVI Total Rewards Philosophy.

  • Manage the US & Expat health care budget and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to monitor benefits costs and accounts

  • Evaluating the costs, benefits, and value of WVIs wellness programs, Health and welfare programmes, and retirement programmes to ensure the Total Rewards package is competitive to the WV population.

  • Manage operational requirements and ensure effectiveness in the implementation of new programs or services.

  • Develop a communication strategy that will seek to ensure high user experience and employee engagement.

  • Collaborate with Staff Care Department and benefits providers to deliver high-impact, engaging wellness programs.

Vendor management and Partnerships

  • Identify best-in-class providers and manage relationships with third-party providers, vendors, and brokers ensuring plan compliance.

  • Direct vendor, brokers, and TPA input and activities in the best interest of WVI.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and other internal teams to manage contracts.

  • Create and track service level agreements and conduct benefit-cost analyses on the full program.

  • Lead RFP processes and program/vendor reviews to ensure WVI is applying market best practices

Benefits Management, Compliance, and Administration.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.

  • Manage compliance programs for US-based staff (federal, state, and local municipalities).

  • Serve as subject matter expert and trusted advisor for employees and managers for WVIs benefits programs.

  • Manage team resources to administer benefits programs and leave policies.

  • Provide training and support to colleagues on our benefits programs.

  • Advise key stakeholders of global compliance regulations that impact IA benefits.

  • Work with Global Benefits Manager on WVI-specific Health and Welfare Minimum Standards (HWMS) audit and compliance reporting.

Act as lead on special projects and initiatives that ensure successful benefits program delivery for US and IA employees

  • Deliver new hire and open enrolment processes that create a positive employee experience.

  • Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that systems meet the needs of the benefits functions for the organization such as easily accommodating changes to benefits plans, wellness programs, etc.

  • Leverage technology and other resources to enhance user experience and increase employee engagement.

  • Act as advisor and support to the Total Rewards team in special projects or initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role

  • 8-10 years of practical application of benefits design and administrationin US and multi-national companies/organizations

  • Demonstrated technical and conceptual understanding of employee health, welfare & wellness programs.

  • Strong background in vendor management and partnership, negotiations and implementation of large-scale benefits programs through partnerships.

  • Exceptional data analysis skills related to organizing,analysing and reporting out data

  • Demonstrated change and communications experience (verbal & writing skills).

  • Management experience.

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business or equivalent field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday experience stronglypreferred

  • CEBS or CBP

  • Advanced Excel knowledge and experience, Office 360, PowerBI, Sharepoint

  • Project Management experience

  • Six Sigma/Kaizen certification and experience

For positions filled in the United States, the offering rate for this role is $83,000 USD. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
