Polish Humanitarian Action, Warsaw based NGO providing humanitarian and development relief worldwide since 1992. So far we have carried out interventions in 52 countries, implementing projects in WASH, Shelter, Education, FSL and Psychological support. PAH’s head office is located in Warsaw, Poland  and we have also 7 country offices in such locations as Poland, Ukraine, South Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Madagascar and Kenya.

Key job duties and responsibilities:

  • Planning and impelementing a global strategy on the delivery of development and humanitarian aid. 
  • Preparation and recommendation for the implementation of emergency and development aid activities.
  • Coordinating information flow and decision making process between PAH Country Offices and PAH Headquarters. 
  • Managing Field Operations Team (Emergency Relief Coordinators, Desk Officers) .
  • Cooperation with external entities (auditors, authorities).
  • Together with PAH Global Security Manager taking over responsibility for security situation in PAH Country Offices worldwide.

The successful candidate will be selected based on the requirements described below: 

  • Minimum of seven years of professional experience in the humanitarian and development sector, preferably with emergency response background.
  • Negotiations and project management skills.
  • Experience managing at least a team of six members.
  • Demostrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in managing a project portfolio of at least one million USD in various geografical contexts (incuding East Africa).
  • Strong budgeting and budget monitoring skills. 
  • Master’s degree (international. relations/management/or relevant)
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1), other languages will be an asset.
  • Willingness and no health contradictitations to travels
  • Driving licence.
