The Opportunity

This is a newly created role, responsible for overall enterprise and technology architecture for Plan International. Key accountabilities will include;

  • Definition of the desired enterprise and technology architecture in line with the business and technology goals for Plan International
  • Leading the global IT strategy enablement
  • Leading the development and implementation of technology roadmaps and oversee the development of our enterprise architecture plans
  • Planning and initialisation of the initiatives necessary for the implementation of the target architecture
  • Designing the architectural transformation of technology domains to enable and support business objectives
  • Defining and maintaining enterprise architecture standards and policies to ensure that our technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable
  • Developing and maintaining the global IT technology portfolio
  • Developing and driving the global technology roadmap
  • Operationalisation of the technology architecture in close coordination with the regional and country stakeholders  and partners across the enterprise including the development of integration architecture principles and guidance, the development of e2e solutions, and the development of solutions within a specific technology domain.
  • Consideration of new technologies, solutions, platforms and frameworks in support of the IT strategy
  • Drive the architecture roadmap across enterprise solutions, Country Offices and the broader organisation
  • Ensure security and data standards and governance are in place for the enterprise solutions
  • Utilise an optimised sourcing model to ensure adherence and governance of the architecture
  • Develop and govern the architecture roadmap for Plan International Inc &  National Organisations, working closely with senior stakeholders
  • Continuously seek opportunities for efficiencies though optimisation of IT solutions

Location:  The location of this role can be flexible where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub and you have the pre-existing right to work and live. Preferred locations include Kenya and India. 
Type of Role: Permanent or maximum fixed term contract
