TNC is seeking an outstanding leader as our new Global Head of Policy & Public Funding, a vitally important role in our efforts to achieve our ambitious 2030 goals. Reporting to the CEO, the Global Head of Policy & Public Funding is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization’s policy and public funding efforts and establishing long-range goals, plans and policies to engage with governments, corporate and community leaders, and others. The Global Head of Policy & Public Funding influences climate and conservation policy in the countries and territories in which TNC operates and catalyzes over $150 million per year in public funding to support TNC goals. 

The Global Head of Policy & Public Funding represents TNC externally with high-level external partners. As a recognized policy leader, they will bring the expertise and agency to initiate bold initiatives in the global policy arena and develop global, regional and national public policy partnerships and ensure TNC’s policy work advances equity and justice. The successful candidate will have experience devising and implementing strategic plans as well as leading large, multi-disciplinary teams.
