About MAG:
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation based in Manchester, UK, and working in 32 countries. We remove landmines and unexploded ordnance to release safe and productive land for communities, and work to reduce the threat of armed violence by supporting governments to safely manage weapons and ammunition. In 1997, MAG was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for our work campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention.
About the role:
Conflict and armed violence are at the heart of many of the world’s most devastating problems. They cause poverty, impede development, harm human rights and inflict suffering on the world’s most vulnerable people. MAG is a humanitarian, development and peacebuilding organisation that limits the causes and addresses the consequences – both immediate and long-term – of conflict and armed violence. Our work saves lives, eases suffering, protects human rights and contributes to sustainable peace for the hundreds of millions of people affected.
It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining MAG’s newly formed Global Fundraising team. We are developing a new 5-year strategy that will see a step change in our income as we look to grow our activities and ability to respond in a volatile world. Our individual giving programme aims to more than double income over the next five years across our key audiences in UK and US.
This role is responsible for making MAG’s new global fundraising strategy a reality by developing and implementing multi-channel individual giving campaigns in the US and UK to significantly transform and grow unrestricted income from individual and mid-level donors and legacies.
Working with the Head of Public Fundraising and other senior management, the role will focus on developing a UK and US individual giving programme, building on past growth to elevate and expand activities and income. Establishing a legacy programme will be a priority to help ensure long term, sustainable income. This is a fantastic time to join a growing team and to achieve some ambitious organisational and career goals.
