Job Description
Job Summary
The Primary purpose of the role is to lead the Global Mobility function supporting the business in the Europe and India region (with some support for the MEA region). The role reports into the Head of Global Mobility but will also work closely with the Europe and India HRD and regional HR team. The role will sit on the GM Leadership Team and the Europe & India HR Leadership Team. The role will have one direct report and will also work closely with the GM GBS team.
Duties
Play an active role in the GM Leadership Team by helping to develop global policies and processes as part of a wider GM Transformation
Redesign the Europe and India GM CoE to effectively meet the needs of the region.
Work closely with the Europe & India HR team to thoroughly understand the talent strategy for the region and create GM solutions to facilitate this and to identify mobility driven talent attraction, retention and development initiatives.
Produce data and metrics for key stakeholders in the region in relation to all cross-border activity.
Active partnering and proactive education with/of the regional Talent Acquisition team in relation to all international new hires
Provide ad hoc advice and solutions to the many international workforce challenges that the business encounters – cross border remote working, international new hires, virtual new hires, along with international assignments and transfers.
Provide advice and guidance to project leaders deploying staff overseas including the provision of cost projections.
Manage effective relationships with stakeholders including assignees, executives and senior staff, HR, finance, legal, resilience, safety colleagues and outsourced service providers and vendors
Facilitate and lead workshops to empower Operations, Business, Finance and HR on mobility practices, rationale, approaches, constraints and regulations

Experience and Person Specification
Extensive global mobility experience in Europe (and preferably India)
Strong understanding of GM issues specific to the Europe and India region including Posted Workers Directive and UK and India immigration legislation
Proven experience in developing and optimizing processes and international assignment policies and practices, including a segmented assignment policy approach
Significant experience in tax risk and jurisdictional legislation including tax residency, P.E. and bi-lateral agreements
Expert knowledge of Global Mobility systems, policies and processes
Excellent leadership and team playing skills
Global mindset and able to successfully manage relationships and stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures
Collaborative in style and embraces a “best for business” mindset
Capacity to manage high levels of ambiguity
Solutions oriented and outcome focused
Advanced problem solving skills and a challenging and inquisitive approach
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and simultaneously manage multiple inputs on multiple projects
