The Global Safety Coordinator serves as a member of the Office for Global Health, Safety and Security and support operational management of international health and safety matters. In collaboration with the Director of Global Health, Safety and Security and the other Coordinator for Global Health, Safety, and Security, the Global Safety Coordinator will oversee office management, analysis, travel preparedness and plan response strategies to promote and protect the well-being of Michigan State University (MSU) travelers. This position calls for a collaborative team-player and systems-thinker with excellent presentation and writing skills.
Hybrid work statement: The department is currently operating under a hybrid modality structure, with staff working three days in person and two days remotely. This structure is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in international relations, area studies, communication, business, higher education administration, criminal justice, or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work in study abroad administration at a four-year college or university or at a study abroad organization; prior experience living, studying or working abroad in the location of the program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
