J&J’s Global Security Department is seeking an Intelligence Group Manager to become a member of a dynamic leadership team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting Global Security’s mission of protecting J&J employees, contractors, global travelers, facilities, and assets. Reporting to the Senior Director of Intelligence and Investigations, this Group Manager will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on current and emerging threats to drive and manage awareness and risk mitigation strategies globally, with a particular emphasis in the North American region. The role will have a strategic, operational and tactical focus requiring the production of a wide range of estimative, explanatory and quantitative analysis and briefings. Of equal importance, the selectee will be required to provide intelligence-related support to corporate security investigations and serve as a master user of the case management database. A highly qualified candidate will have strong research, analysis and communications skills and be technologically proficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, track, and prepare quantitative reports to include, but not limited to Key Performance Indicators and threat trends.
  • Supervise a team of analysts based in regions across the world, specifically as it relates to the execution of intelligence core functions.
  • Lead, produce, and edit written analytical reports, to include travel risk assessments in support of executives’ travel.
  • Develop standardized policies, procedures, and guidelines to govern both the Intelligence Program and Case Management System.
  • Serve as systems administrator to include managing permissions, training and performance, and collaborating with technical support.
  • Conduct research using open source, subscription, and security-related services to monitor and assess current and emerging threats focused in the North American region.
  • Maintain effective cross-functional relationships with key internal security partners/stakeholders.
  • Build and leverage relationships with external peers from the public and private sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A Master’s degree (Areas of Study: Political Science, International Relations/Affairs, Intelligence, Criminal Justice) is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of professional work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the government and private sector serving in an intelligence related capacity.
  • Formalized intelligence training on tradecraft and analytic techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong ability to collect, synthesize, and evaluate large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, including leading high-visibility tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, particularly during crisis periods.
  • Experience briefing senior management/executive leaders.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience using advanced data analytics software and/or geospatial technologies, like PowerBI, I2, and/or ArcGIS.
  • Understanding of physical security practices, principles and risk management.
  • Experience working in an intelligence fusion cell or command center environment.

Other:

  • This position requires in-office presence 4 days per week.
  • This position will be based in New Brunswick, N.J. May require up to 10% travel domestic/international.

 

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000-$170,200.  The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

·       Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

o   Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year 

o   Sick time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year 

o   Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

o   Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year
