We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Global Supply Chain Coordinator for the EURASIA and West Africa region, based in Copenhagen.

In the face of ongoing crises in Ukraine, the Middle East, and beyond, DRC is realigning its resources to meet future needs and enhance our global response capabilities. We are committed to strengthening our supply chain capacity to support our long-term programming and ensure swift, agile responses to crises around the world. As part of this effort, we are expanding our Global Supply Chain Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and strengthen supply chain operations in EURASIA and Western Africa countries.
  • Work within a dedicated team operating in three regions from Myanmar in the East to Mali in the West, and from Ukraine in the North to Malawi in the South.
  • Travel with short notice for up to 2 months to support supply chain activities.
  • Adapt and respond to a variety of technical tasks in challenging contexts.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in supply chain activities, including procurement, supply chain management, and warehousing. Humanitarian aid experience is essential, ideally with knowledge of the RCRC Movement.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent communication and coordination abilities, and proficiency in MS applications.
  • Languages: Fluent in Danish, French, and English.
  • Residency: Must hold a Danish residency.
  • Personal Qualities: Diplomatic, flexible, resilient, patient, and innovative. Strong cultural understanding and ability to work in multicultural environments are crucial.

Employment Conditions:

  • Position: Global Supply Chain Coordinator, EURASIA and West Africa.
  • Location: Based in Copenhagen, HQ level.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • Contract: Open-ended with a 3-month probationary period.
  • Salary: Competitive, according to the bargain agreements between Danish Red Cross with HK and AC which includes all allowances and pension payments.
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week, including lunch break.

The DRC Global Supply Chain Team is anchored within our Disaster & Crisis Response unit in the International Department and is part of a structure supporting not only response activities but also long-term programming.

International Department in the Danish Red Cross supports vulnerable people in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, in close cooperation with Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in more than 30 countries, and have an annual turnover of more than 750 million Danish kroner annually. We work specifically on building preparedness and response capacity. DRC works both with long term activities and short-term response particular within health, disaster preparedness and response.
